Woman killed in hit-and-run in Everett

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Detectives are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a woman crossing a street in Everett.

Authorities say the woman was crossing 19th Avenue Southeast at about 8 p.m. Saturday when a driver in what they believe was a red sport-utility vehicle struck her. Police say they believe the SUV has front-end damage.

The victim was in her late 50s. Her identity has not been released.
