The Sheriff has just lifted the Level 1 evacuation notices that were in place for Shaniko and Antelope.

and brush. 518 acres. Minimal fire behavior. Limited information at this time.
And from Central Oregon Dispatch we were told firefighters had stopped forward progress, and there were no injuries and no structures have been lost.

Cow Canyon Fire:
The Cow Canyon Fire is near hwy 97 mp 68. The cause and containment is unknown at this time. The fire is approximately 150 to 200 acres with 1-2 homes threatened . Antelope and Shaniko are at a Level 1 (GET READY TO GO) evacuation notice as a precaution only. Farmers, BLM ground and air support along with the State Fire Marshal, Wasco County sheriff, OSP, and ODOT are all on scene.
