FRIDAY

Cruise-In to Goldendale tonight. Meet up at Perez Collision at 835 S. Columbus in Goldendale on Friday, July 27 at 5:30 p.m. and then we’ll head over to Dwinell Country Ales for a Potluck. Bring a dish – Bring your cars – Bring your friends!

Klickitat Canyon Days kick off tonight with Kids Carnival in the School Gym from 5 to 7 pm with FREE hot dogs, chips, drinks, snow cones and popcorn. From 7:00pm – 9:00pm: Family Movie Night at Dusk outside of the Gym at the school.

Systyr ‘Skin-‘nerd tribute band Live at The Granada. Tickets $25 to hear seven very talented ladies rip through the classics from Sweet Home Alabama to Free Bird

Klickitat Canyon Days continue Saturday with Saturday morning 7:00 am – 10:00 am: Fire Hall Breakfast Adults $6, Kids/Seniors $4 Pancakes & Sausage or Biscuits gravy.

8:00 am: Registration for the 5K Fun Run or Walk at Depot Park

9:00 am-3:00 pm: Klickitat Museum Open Buy your Klickitat Refrigerator Magnets! Get your raffle tickets for a chance at two Mountain Bikes to support the Wall for our Military members.

9:30 am-1:30 pm: Farmers Market, Vendors, Bake Sale and more at Depot Park.

10:00 am: 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in the Gym.

11:00 am: Parade on Main Street. All the Boats for the big race will be participating.

1:00 pm-4:00 pm: Kids games behind the Community Center.

8:00 pm-Midnight: Band and Dancing in the Street.

Wasco County Historical Society invites the public to attend local educator/historian Jean Vercouteren’s presentation on “Celilo Village, Past & Present” Saturday, the 28th, 11:00 a.m., at the Moody/Rorick House, 300 W. 13th St. in The Dalles. Free event; refreshments available.

The D-21 School District Archive Museum is open Saturday at the Wahtonka campus from 10 am to 3 pm and is free to all visitors.Tomorrow they will have sports uniforms for sale from the years the school went by the double Eagle/Indian mascot. All money goes to the high school athletic program. That is also the The Dalles Wahtonka High School 10yr. class reunion weekend.

 

White Salmon’s annual Art and Wine Fusion showcase event returns for its 14th year Saturday at Rheingarten Park. Live music from 3 to 10 pm. Lots of wine from Maryhill Winery, Klickitat Canyon Winery, Jacob Williams Winery, Flume Vineyard, The Pines, Syncline, Tetrahedron and Major Creek Cellars among others. Be sure to visit the wine tent to experience them all. Local craft brews by Everybody’s Brewing will be poured in the beer garden. Other beverage options will include ciders from Stevenson’s Jester & Judge Cider and locally made whiskey may be sampled from Skunk Brothers Spirits. There will be multiple food vendors available to offer up their culinary delights from rotisserie BBQ to gluten free baked goods. There should be something for everyone’s taste. Speaking of tastes – the array of artists, craftspeople and vendors of unique items will present a wide range of options to walk around the grassy park and check out while listening to the music and enjoying your libations. Bring a picnic blanket and relax while admiring the view of Mt. Hood. The cost for admission is $5 per person or you can purchase a VIP Tasting Package for $20 which includes your souvenir glass and five tasting tokens. This is a 21 and older event this year. Well behaved dogs on leashes are allowed.

Hood River County Fair includes Country star Craig Morgan in concert 8:15 Saturday at the fairgrounds in Odell. Tickets Adults… $10.00, ages 6 through 12 $5.00, performance included with price of fair admission.
