YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Police have released the name of a man killed Tuesday morning during a home invasion in Yakima.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported Wednesday that 49-year-old Randy Kublic was shot to death by the suspect.
Yakima police say someone broke a window to the home around 5 a.m. and demanded that someone inside give him a specific item. Police wouldn’t give more information about the item.
Police say Kublic, who also lived at the home, confronted the man outside and was shot. He died at the scene.
Police said the suspect then left in a sports utility vehicle.
Police are investigating.
