Weekend events April 13-15


The North Central Livestock Association’s annual Bull Tour goes on the road to Klickitat County this year, with stops at six ranches. Registration starts at 7:30 at Auction Sales Company’s Auction Yard on Highway 197 just outside The Dalles. Cost is $45 for the day and includes sumptuous lunch and dinner at the Klickitat County Fairgrounds in Goldendale, catered by Cobblestone Catering of Dufur, and featuring Past NCLA President Rory Wilson as the tri-tip barbecue master for the dinner’s main dish. There is a bus to ride courtesy of Dufur Schools, or guests can bring their own vehicle on the caravan. There will also be a guess the weight of the bull contest at the last stop of the day, with those coming the closest get nice prizes. The event is the main fundraiser for the NCLA,which each year awards a scholarship to a Wasco County student and a Sherman Couty student.

Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association presents “All in the Timing”, a collection of one-act plays for an evening of humor and relaxation. Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 at the Bingen Theater Sunday afternoon at 2 pm at the Hegewald Center in Stevenson with additional venues the following week. Tickets $15 for adults, $10 for students and children.

The annual salmon festival at Celilo Village Friday through Sunday – no set times announced


The Second Saturday of each month the WAAAM Air and Auto Museum opens the doors to roll out and run some of its antique airplanes and cars. Visitors watch airplane operations up close and may get to ride in old cars too. Open 9-5. Activities 10-2. Lunch 11-1. Free parking. WAAAM is located three miles from downtown Hood River at 1600 Air Museum Road, Hood River.

Spring Wine Walk through downtown Hood River Saturday and Sunday. Tickets $30 include two tastes at each of the seven  wineries with tasting rooms in downtown Hood River plus a six bottle bag and a wine glass. Those tickets available online or at the Hood River Hotel
