FRIDAY

American Legion Post #19 membership drive and spaghetti feed fundraiser open to the public Friday February 23 with dinner from 5 to 7 followed by music with Al and Nolan. All proceeds go to the operating costs of the American Legion

The Theatre Company presents Looking Glass Land, a comedy adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass. Friday and Saturday nights at 7 pm in the Third Floor Lecture Hall – Building 2 at Columbia Gorge Community College. Tickets $10 adults, $5 children under 14.

SATURDAY

Senator Ron Wyden will hold a Wasco County town hall meeting this Saturday at noon at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles.

Regional History Forum tomorrow at the Original Wasco County Courthouse presents Gorge Country Media news director Rodger Nichols in a program called “Obsolete American Currency: from the Half Cent to the $100,000 Bill.” Program starts at 1:30 at the Original Wasco County Courthouse behind The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce. Admission is free, donations accepted. Following the program he will offer free evalutiions of old coins or paper money both US and foreign. Limit three per person depending on number of people bringing items.

Hood River Valley Adult Center hosts a Mardi Gras style harvest dinner fundraising event for Hood River Meals on Wheels Saturday at 6 pm with Dixieland music, raffles, door prizes a no host bar, silent auction and Louisiana style dinner. Tickets $20 in advance at 386 twenty sixty or $25 at the door.

Portland Story Theater Urban Tellers return to The Dalles at the Civic Auditorium Saturday presenting true stories told on stage, Doors open at 6:30 pm. Stories start at 7 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. The show is a fundraiser for the Civic and open to the public, but 18+ age recommended

Bagel brunch at The Mid-Columbia Senior Center in The Dalles, from 10 am to 1 pm prepared by Rick Leibowitz and sponsored by the Springs at Mill Creek. Tickets $10.
