SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A 36-year-old man has been sentenced to life in an Oregon prison after pleading guilty to killing two men and attempting to murder a woman.
Marion County prosecutors said Tuesday that 36-year-old Marcelino Osorio-Jimenez waited for the victims outside a Salem pool hall on June 18. He fatally shot 26-year-old Hector Martinez-Arroyo and 50-year-old Carlos Zepeda-Ponce before firing once at the woman as she ran back into the pool hall. The shot missed.
Authorities say the men had a history of verbal disputes, but this was the first violent encounter.
Osorio-Jimenez will be eligible for parole after 55 years, when he’s 90.
