EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Everett police have arrested a man in connection to a killing that happened 10 years ago.
The Everett Herald reports that 34-year-old Drew Olin was taken to jail Wednesday night for investigation of second-degree murder.
He is suspected of killing 24-year-old Jose Luis Gutierrez-Martinez outside of an apartment in 2007. Police say the killing stemmed from a drug deal.
Police say a witness recently gave them information about the night Gutierrez-Martinez was killed.
The witness told investigators that Olin was at her apartment in the same building before the killing happened. She said that as he left the apartment, he was carrying a gun and told her he was meeting with people he didn’t trust.
Olin was a suspect at the time of the killing. His father reported him missing a few weeks after it happened.
