Man arrested in connection to shooting death of Oregon man

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the shooting death of a 37-year-old Oregon man.

The Columbian reports that police found Tigard, Oregon, resident Michael K. McLaughlin dead Sunday morning outside a residence in Stevenson, Washington. Officers were responding to a call reporting gun shots in the area when they found McLaughlin.

Twenty-four-year-old William F. Prosser was arrested and booked into the Skamania County Jail in connection to the killing.

The Skamania County sheriff’s office says a verbal dispute between the two men ended in McLaughlin being shot.

An autopsy for McLaughlin was scheduled for Monday.
