For the final meeting of the Goldendale City Council for 2017, tonight’s agenda includes a number of housekeeping items, including a budget amendment for the fourth quarter, approval of the city budget for 2018, increases on water and sewer rates, starting in January, a revised sick leave policy, and a rare event – repeal of an ordinance. In this case council will vote on repealing a 1959 ordinance that required a cabaret licence and a dance tax for any business that allowed dancing on the premises. Authorities consider that no longer relevant and want to clean it off the books.
