Hood River Turkey trot takes place at the Mosier Twin Tunnels, November 23rd at 10 am. 12k, 5k, & 3k run/walks. Even a special kids run. There will be a prize for the best Turkey costume. Proceds benefit Moiser School. Find out more online at Mosier dot k 12 dot US.

Free Thanksgiving Community meal sponsored by the Salvation Army at St. Mary’s Academy on Thursday from noon to 3. All are welcome. If you need a meal delivered, call the Salvation Army. Volunteers are needed as well.

Goldendale’s free Thanksgiving dinner, open to everyone, will be at the Father’s House Fellowship Church at 207 S. Klickitat in Goldendale, beginning at noon. Those who need a ride to the church, or to arrange for a free home delivered meal, should call Ogden’s Mopar Limo Service today at 509-773-4114.

On Friday November 24th at both the Hood River & The Dalles Papa Murphy’s, get any pizza, any size for $10 between 9 am to 2 pm. And at The Dalles from 11 to 1, we are having a Civil War party, serving up hamburgers and giving away prizes. Don’t forget, get any pizza, any size for $10 between 9 am to 2 pm at Papa Murphy’s on the Heights in Hood River and out West Sixth Street in The Dalles.

Friday, it’s the The 28th annual Starlight Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration in The Dalles. The parade begins at 6 pm at West Sixth and Webber Streets, then rolls through downtown before ending in front of The Dalles Chamber of Commerce office. The holiday spirit then comes to life at the Annual Tree Lighting Celebration, following the parade at 7 pm, complete with Santa photos, hot chocolate, cookies, and popcorn.


Wamic Community Holiday Bazaar at the Wamic Community Center Saturday 9 am to 4 pm featuring gifts, decorations and handcrafted specialty items. Lunch and snack items also available for purchase.

The Jacob Williams Winery tasting room features Hood River’s spice, oil, and vinegar shop, Arome for a special tasting alongside freshly baked bread courtesy of Brian’s Pourhouse & Bakery this Saturday, November 25th from 1-4 pm
