Election results for contested races in Klickitat County

It was election day yesterday in Oregon and Washington. With no statewide offices on the ballot and the three statewide measures advisory only, the countywide turnout in Klickitat County was just 29.62 percent. Three of the four races for positions on the White Salmon City Council were extremely close. Three of the races were decided by 7, 11 and 12 votes, repectively. The other race had a 45 vote difference. All three statewide advisory measures were soundly defeated in Klickitat County with votes to repeal exceeding 70 percent for all three.
