Person struck and killed by Amtrak train in Woodland

WOODLAND, Wash. (AP) — Police say a person has been killed after being struck by an Amtrak train in Woodland.

KGW-TV reports the incident happened Monday evening as the train was heading south to Eugene.

Police believe the person was a man, but could not confirm. The Cowlitz County coroner is working to identify the body.

It’s unclear why the person was on the tracks.

No one on the train was hurt.
