Woman rescued from Mt. St. Helens

A Vancouver WA woman was airlifted from the 7000 foot level of Mt St Helens at daybreak this morning after falling into a snow cave near Monitor Ridge late last night. North Country EMS, the Volcano Rescue Team, and the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident after receiving a call around 8:45 PM last night from the call box located at the Climber’s Bivouac off the Forest Service Road 81830.
