Union Pacific appeals second track at Mosier denial to Gorge Commission Tuesday

Followiing the Wasco County Board of Commissioners meetings on November 2 and November 10 last year, at which commissioners voted unanimously to deny an application by Union Pacific Railroad to extend a siding at Mosier into a 5-mile-long full second track, the railroad appealed that decision to the Columbia River Gorge Commission.

Friends of The Gorge, Columbia Riverkeeper, and Physicians for Social Responsibility also appealed the ruling, for different reasons.

The hearing for those two appeals is Tuesday, June 13 at 9 am at the Readiness Center on the Columbia Gorge Community College campus. Briefs filed by attorneys for various parties are available for download at this LINK.
