BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) — Police arrested a man accused of breaking into a Baker City auto dealership and stealing a $61,000 Chevrolet Camaro from the showroom. Baker City Police Sgt. Kirk McCormick said the silver or gray Camaro is equipped with General Motors’ OnStar security system, and it was used to locate the vehicle Wednesday in North Powder and determine it was traveling west on Interstate 84. Oregon State Police then coordinated with OnStar to reduce the car’s engine power, and the driver pulled over to the side of the road before his arrest. McCormick said 46-year-old James Reedy, who has been living in a motel, was lodged in the Union County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. McCormick says additional charges are likely. The Camaro was not damaged.
