Log truck vs train near Dog Mountain; train wins

An unloaded log truck went off Highway 14 near Dog Mountain just before 1 p.m. this afternoon and struck the side of a train moving in the same direction. The driver was not injured, but the truck wedged between the train and a rock wall, and ruptured both fuel tanks. Heavy equipment had to be brought in from Vancouver to remove the truck and hazmat workers to clean up the spill. As of 3:15, the Washington State Patrol Regional Office in Vancouver reported lane blockages on SR 14.
