KLICKITAT – An emergency weight restriction of 3 tons (6,000 lbs) is in affect on the State Route 142 Klickitat River Bridge just east of Klickitat (milepost 17.55). On Wednesday, routine bridge inspections revealed severe corrosion on the underside of the bridge deck. The weight restriction is in place now until further notice. Freight vehicles should use SR 14 and US 97 to detour around the restriction. The Klickitat River Bridge carries an average of 580 vehicles a day.
