Cars were pulling into store parking lots all over the Mid-Columbia for the Black Friday shopping extravaganza today. We talked to people waiting in line for different stores to open at 5 this morning and asked what brought them out in the predawn darkness

And Sears reported that people were indeed waiting in line when the store in Cascade Square opened its doors at 4 a.m. And what were they buying?

Nationally, economic experts predict sales this Black Friday will be up over last year’s by 3.8 percent.
