Active Shooter drills set for closed Chenowith Middle School

The training is organized by the Oregon State Police and the Oregon Public Safety Academy. It’s designed to be realistic, and the public will see cars from a number of police agencies parked at the Chenowith Middle School. It will also be noisy, and Trooper Mark Jubitz said the public should be aware this is only a drill

Trooper Jubitz said the public will also see police cars at the Wahtonka campus where officers will be doing strictly classroom training, and reemphasized that they are asking the public to stay away from the training simulations at the Chenowith Middle School, which start today and runs through Thursday.
