Columbia Gorge Express to run limited schedule on Sat & Sun prior to #Eclipse2017
Service will end 3 hours early on August 19th and 20th
You’ve probably heard by now that crowds traveling for the August 21 solar eclipse could wreak havoc on Oregon highways, and not just on the actual day of the eclipse. In anticipation of potentially extreme traffic congestion, the Columbia Gorge Express will be operating on a reduced schedule Saturday August 19 and Sunday August 20.

The last eastbound bus each day will depart Gateway Transit Center at 1:45 pm, and the last westbound bus each day will depart Multnomah Falls at 3:35 pm. However, we advise riders not to wait until the last bus in case it is full.

Significant delays and additional trip cancellations are also possible depending on traffic conditions. You can reach our customer service desk to inquire about the status of service by calling 877-247-0053.

The eclipse makes it more important than ever to prepare for your trip to the Columbia River Gorge. We recommend bringing extra food and water in the event that you are in the Gorge for longer than expected. More tips on how to plan, prepare and safely enjoy the Gorge can be found at
